Hello pole peeps! When moving from studio to studio or after a long break, you may question which level you're on so we've made a guide for you to judge yourself :) Beginner (approx £5 per class): Pole fitness is a sport and dance technique that anyone can learn. No prior dance or fitness experience is needed. We were all beginners once! During your first lessons your posture, fitness and confidence will improve and more importantly, you’ll have loads of fun while starting to achieve your goals. Elementary: Prior experience required. With improved strength and stamina following your Beginners level, learn how to blend choreography with tricks for maximum impact. Increase your strength, endurance and confidence while building technique with beautiful transitions and spins. Master cool tricks like the Extended Spins and moves up the Pole. Once you have mastered all standard grip spins, spinning climbs to the top of the pole, one-handed spins, inverted crucifix snake dismount and your inverted V on both sides, you’re ready to move on to our Intermediate course. Intermediate: Building on the skills developed on the Elementary course, progress to more diverse and challenging moves as you will now have the strength and confidence to start more complicated work. Be prepared to work hard – this level is designed to be challenging, and improve your core strength, flexibility and endurance. Moves taught during this course include aerial V inverts with straight legs, double spinning climb on both sides, side climb, angel knee climb on both sides, hang backs into handstand, angel switches, extended butterfly and basic shoulder mount. Advanced (approx £7 per class): This level is about perfecting your moves and pushing your skills even further. Having built up technique and strength; you are now ready to learn some hardcore tricks. We will help you build your strength and stamina, teaching you how to perform advanced pole tricks and transitions safely and seamlessly. During this course you will learn to master aerial straight leg V (dead lifts) on both sides), extended butterfly combo, flatliner, Allegra, Brass Monkey, dead lift shoulder mount from floor, aerial shoulder mount with kick-up, Handsprings, Cupid (no hands), and Ayesha. If you have any questions, just drop us a message or speak to a committee member during practice.
