Our Annual Pole ShowIt's the time of the year again where the poles go up in our favourite basement bar for a magical night of splits, spins and metal things! (and lots of muscles) The Annual Pole Show will be Tuesday 17th March with doors opening at 7:30, Tickets will be available on the door and cost £3! As usual, we are back to our favourite bar, Mully's Basement Bar in UCLU :) Please come on time to get a seat ;) Grab a pint from the bar and come appreciate what our lovely ladies and gents from the society have been working so hard for over the year :) It will be amazing. HAHA ;) Here's some info on what your committee does and the names of current committee members - if you're interested in running for a specific position or just want more info PLEASE CONTACT US! :) Pres - Mari-Ann Is responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running and health of the society. Liaises with the teachers and union to create class timetables and book practice times. Also responsible for sending out newsletters and updates to members. President is also responsible for communication and organization of external organizations such as LAP, IUPDC and other societies within the UK. Treas - Elspeth Is responsible for all of the financial matters for the society. This includes budgeting, invoicing, making payments, collecting profits, etc. This is a vital role within the organization because it ensures that the society can run and function on a day to day basis. VP - Rheanan Is responsible for kit and general odd jobs for the society. Helps the president manage the workload and coordinates class supervision timetables between the committee members. Sec - Diana Is responsible for responding to all emails from members and potential members to respond to any queries they may have. They are also responsible for the maintenance of our social media presence and keeping those up to date. Show Coordinator - Erica Is responsible entirely for the shows including finding a venue, ticketing, programs, etc. Also work closely with the president/ competition coordinator to organize members to compete in competitions. Social Sec - Tamara Is responsible for the organization of social events and promotion of those events on our social media outlets. **NEW ROLE** - COMPETITION COORDINATOR Responsible for the organisation of the annual Varsity Pole Competition being held at UCL next year. This will involve finding a venue, sponsorship, head judge, liaising with other societies and creating the application pack. This is going to be a super important role! First Year Rep applications will only begin next September, so this role isn't open for voting! Dance Studio as usual xx In third term, as it is exam term, we will not be having classes.
We will instead be having weekly open practices! Don't forget, you still have a 20% discount at LAP ;) xxx
